Switch, the End of a Life Cycle
Recently I have found myself enjoying the the Switch very much playing through Zelda Breath of The Wild. I know I'm late to the party, as usual. Really is a fantastic game and I do plan to play the second one after I finish this one. It's refreshing to find a good game that you enjoy. That made me wonder about all the games I haven't played on the Switch that could be gems. With all the talk of the "Switch 2" lately I was beginning to worry that I would never look back to play them. Sounds like that system has been delayed, and that it will also be backwards compatible? not too sure on that last part, either way I have been hoarding Switch games like the apocalypse is coming (it would be the greatest if the controllers are also compatible). Nows my chance to get hammering away at this backlog. Gosh Nintendo has some really good IP's, that's really the main reason I love Nintendo products. In a time of online multiplayer only, Nintendo still produces "game night" games. Have some buddies over, go head to head in Mario Kart or duke it out in Smash Bros., that's what I love about Nintendo. It gives me that hit of nostalgia I had growing up.

I will be the first to admit that they aren't very good at always "sticking the landing" when it comes to products or games. It doesn't bother me too much, only thing that bothers me is that I'm a sucker for it. I know what to expect yet I pay for it anyway. A lot of people complain that the Switch is underpowered. That is true but it hasn't stopped me from enjoying good games. My only complaints about the system would be the lack of comfort and the joy-con drifting issues. I have the Switch Lite (I also have an OLED but not with me) and holding it gives me cramps and tingles. Maybe it's a sign I'm getting old. I do have the Skull & Co. grip case, but I wasn't able to bring the chonky grips with. The joy-con drift is a bit more serious in my opinion. Consumers are already shelling out decent money for the console, it would be nice to have things ironed out before launch. I know Nintendo was fixing them if you sent them in, but that just seemed like a headache. I replaced the joy sticks myself on the joy-cons. I pray they survive on my Lite. I can't see myself buying a pair of Nintendo branded joy-cons with the purpose of replacement instead of addition. The price is too high. I have tried some other branded joy-cons and they are completely fine, about half the price too. Personally I think Hori makes some great Switch products.
That being said I think that the Switch was a great system. I plan on picking up another used OLED system if I can find a good deal on one. Something cool like the Pokemon or Zelda one. It had a great run, was a little dicey with supply and demand and some issues but all in all it did alright. I can't wait to see what the next iteration will be.
